The video game Valete vos Viatores! proposes a journey from the very center of the Roman Empire to its westernmost edge through several cities in Italy, Gaul, Hispania, and Lusitania, in the role of a scriptor titulorum (a sculptor specialized in carving inscriptions). Players can learn the techniques used for their creation (drafting, composition, material selection, cutting, carving, decoration, painting). But above all, they will discover the concerns and desires that drove people to leave their legacy written in stone, and will be able to interpret its deepest meaning.
